Lovells Satellite Meal

The Community is invited to the Crawford County Commission on Aging’s Lovells Satellite Meal on Friday, October 19th at 12:00pm at the Lovells Township Building. The lunch includes Pork Roast, Baked Potato, Green Beans, and a Pear. Lunch is open to the public. The cost of the lunch is a suggested donation of $3.00 for those 60 and over and a $5.00 cost for those under 60. Munson Home Health will provide blood pressure & sugar checks and Bingo will be played following the meal. Please call (989) 348-7123 for a reservation today. A Matter of Balance

The Crawford County Commission on Aging will be offering a free series of 8 classes on the subject of preventing falls called, A Matter of Balance.The classes will be held twice a week for 4 weeks Wednesdays and Fridays from 10am to 12pm at the Grayling Michigan Works Office, 4595 Salling. Powerful Tools For Caregivers

Powerful Tools for Caregivers is a free educational program designed to help caregivers take care of themselves while caring for a relative or friend. Caregivers will develop self-care tools to: reduce personal stress; change negative self-talk; learn ways to better communicate during challenging situations; deal with difficult feelings; and make tough caregiving decisions. This six-week series meets every Friday starting October 19, and runs through November 30, from 1:00–3:30 at the Crawford County Library.
