Cherryland Humane Society Volunteer Orientation

CHS is always in need of volunteers! 
Meet new people with similar interests, get out in the community and make a difference, all while getting a little pet therapy for yourself!
To register for orientation please click on the link below to our website volunteer page and fill out the registration form at the bottom of the page.
Orientations are held on the 2nd Saturday of every month at 9:00 am
There are many different ways you can help the animals at CHS! At orientation, you will learn animal behavior and handling, how to communicate with the animals and all about our new animal enrichment activities. Cleaning, laundry, landscaping, clerical, and helping with community events are just a few of the assignments available at Cherryland Humane Society!

Kampout for KAIR 2018

Kampout For KAIR is a 24-hour food drive to benefit Kalkaska Area Interfaith Resources (KAIR).  Beginning at 5pm on Friday, October 12th, and running until 5pm on Saturday, October 13th, we'll be collecting non-perishable food and personal hygiene that will be delivered directly to KAIR. Drop off locations will be set up at Bill Marsh Kalkaska, Northland Foods, Family Fare and Save A Lot (all Kalkaska locations).  Check out to learn more about this event.

Relay For Life Bark in the Park!

Please join us with your four-legged friends as we celebrate our 2nd Annual Bark for Life of Crawford County. Bark For Life is an American Cancer Society fundraising event that honors our dogs as caregivers and those who are survivors. We would be honored if you and your pooch join us on October 13th for a Howlween Good Time! 
$10 registration per dog and $5 for an additional dog (limit two registered dogs per handler). Registration starts at 10:30 am and includes a Bark for Life bandana and swag bag. All dogs must be on a leash and up to date on vaccines. 
Enjoy our opening ceremony at 11 am and stay to enjoy music, games, silent auction, canine agility, groomers, costume contest and much more!

Patient Appreciation 25th Anniversary

Two men start, and when one gets pinned or submits, the next participant enters. The last one to survive wins! In addition, we will see the NEW IWE Heavyweight Champion Benjamin Brody take on the debuting Lou Crank in what should be a main event for the ages! All this, plus your favorite (and most hated!) gladiators of Imperial Wrestling Entertainment! The NEW IWE tag team Champions The Dean Boys, IWE Gladiator Champion Bam Grizzlee, Creature Feature John Campbell, Cesar Ashur, Cory Kerr, Team Ratings, The Goodman Detective Agency, The Cream Street Mafia, Derric Crow, and many more. ***COSTUMES ENCOURAGED!*** The best part of this?
