Young Marines of T.C regular weekly meeting

Youth Group for boys and girls as young as 8 years old thru high school age. Guiding principles are "Teamwork, Leadership and Discipline". Drug Demand Reduction youth organization of the Marine Corps. We work hard and play hard! Meetings are every Thursday, September - June 6:30-8: 30 PM

Senior Center Hosting Trip For Beach Bums

From 5:00PM to 11:30PM

The Crawford County Commission on Aging & Senior Center will be hosting a trip to see the Traverse City Beach Bums on Thursday, July 26th. Enjoy the game of baseball and make some memories as the Beach Bums play the Lake Erie Crushers. The cost of the trip is only $15.00 which includes transportation by CCTA bus (Dial-A-Ride) and game ticket. The meal is not included; however, all fans can take advantage of the Meal Special Night at the game which includes a hot dog or brat, chips and a Northwoods Soda for only $5.00! Or, join us at the Senior Center before you get on the bus at 4:30pm for a Beef Stew dinner. Those 60 and over dinner is a suggested donation of $3.00 and those under 60 the cost is $5.00. The bus is scheduled to depart from the Commission on Aging and Senior Center at 5:00pm and return around 11:30pm. Blarney Stone Broadcasting and Q100.3 is helping to sponsor this event. Char-Em United Way Celebrates 75th Anniversary

 

Char-Em United Way (CEUW) held its 75th-anniversary party Tuesday, June 26th from 6-8pm at Lavender Hill Farms. Approximately 200 people attended the event, which featured live music, an open bar, and the stunning views of the lavender fields. Bruce Herard, Board president, and Lorraine Manary, CEO, provided a short history of Char-Em United Way and a bold vision for the future, and announced $331,600 in community investments for this year. Also presented was the annual John Newton Award of Excellence, honoring an individual and a business in our community.
