Charlevoix Commission on Aging Veterans Brunch

The Charlevoix Commission on Aging and the Veteran’s Affairs office invite all Veterans to please join them every Tuesday for a Veteran’s Social beginning at 9am and FREE Lunch for Veteran’s beginning at 11:30a!   Veterans can contact the Charlevoix County Transit for FREE rides to and from the Senior Centers hosting the weekly event by calling 231-582-6900!

Summer Day Camp/Old Mission Peninisula School

 The Old Mission Pennisula School is having their "Summer Day Camp" their mission is to help each camper

 build a sense of self, a sense of community and a sense of wonderful through fun and adventure in a outdoor

 environment.  Campers will be outside exploring and being creative the majority of the day.  Campers ages

 4-12 are invited to join.


  Location: Old Mission Peninsula School, 2699 Islandview Rd., Traverse City, MI


  Cost: $230 for a full week and $138 for 3 day option.

Bay View Cottage Walk

From 10:00AM to 4:00PM

The Bay View Cottage walk is on July 10th, 2018 from 10 am to 4 pm. 

A joint fundraising effort of the Bay View Woman's council and Bay View Morning Council that enhances programming, activities, and facility. Grants are also given to countywide non-profits.

Tickets are $31.50 or $36.50 after July 5th. Box lunches cost $15 in advance.

AARP Smart Driver Course-Crawford County

AARP Smart Driver Course
This two-day course will be held at the Free Methodist Church, 6352 West M72, on July 10th and 11th from 10:00 am to 2:30 pm.
This course is designed especially for drivers age 50 and older.
Cost of the course is $15 for AARP members and $20 for non-members 
Join us at the Senior Center for lunch from 11:30am to 12:30pm. Lunch for those 60 and over is a
suggested $3.00 donation and those under 60 is a $5.00 charge.

Celebrate Recovery

Celebrate Recovery has begun at the Grayling Free Methodist Church on Tuesday nights at 6pm. Come and share your Hurts, Habits and Hangups with others who deal with the same problems. A snack is served before the meeting and then worship with songs, lessons and testimonies. Come and see if you would benefit from these wonderful get-togethers!!

Student Entrepreneurship Grant Application DUE

The Region 3 Collaborative Development Council (CDC) is excited to announce a youth program that will help demystify entrepreneurship. The CDC is seeking education and training partners who are interested in helping to provide middle and/or high school students with an experiential learning opportunity that would begin this fall. The CDC, through the Immersive Student Entrepreneurship Grant will be awarding $20,000 of seed funding for participating schools as well as working with successful local entrepreneurs to provide further support and assistance. Each eligible applicant may apply for up to $5,000 of funding. At this time, we expect to award four grants of $5,000 each. For details, please visit the website at:
Proposals are due by 5PM on July 14th, 2018, and applicants will be notified of their award no later than August 1st, 2018. Funds will be provided no later than September 1st, 2018.

Interlochen "Collage"
