Chemical Bank Creating Community Chemistry Calendar

TC: Career Exploration Camp

From 8:30AM to 11:30AM

TRAVERSE CITY, MI—A Career Exploration Camp will be one of the offerings available for local students at the TBAISD’s Cool Tech Camp June 19-21 in Traverse City. “See It To Be It! Creating Your Career Vision” will help students explore the possibilities of their future. The class will give students a chance to work on fun, real-world challenges, learn about the many different positions within a company, and meet professionals and hear their journey to finding a profession they love. Companies participating in the camp will include Cherry Capital Mobile Pet Hospital, NDX D.H. Baker Dental Lab, Hilbert's Honey Bees, Home Builders Association, North Flight EMS, and Merlo Energy. 


See It to Be It! and the other Cool Tech Camp classes will be held June 19-21 from 8:30 am to 11:30 am at the TBAISD Career-Tech Center. Camps are open to all TBAISD students currently in 5th, 6th, and 7th grades. The cost of the camp is $40 and includes a t-shirt, supplies, snacks, and lunch on the last day.

Bats Rock! at the Betsie Valley District Library

Does your child/tween/teen love video games? Want them to learn useful skills while exercising their mind? Sign them up for Code Club! We meet every week at the Petoskey District Library and learn how to program computers. Kids love being able to create their own video games and websites, and in the process they will gain useful technology skills! We will host a showcase presentation in August. Rock n Rides Car Show

From 6:00PM to 8:00PM

Collectable Cars, Trucks, Motorcycles and specialty vehicles all come together for NW Michigan’s ONLY downtown Traverse City Car Show every Wednesday at Little Bohemia Café. The kick-off date is set for D-Day Wednesday, June 6th with a dedicated tribute to American Veterans featuring military vehicles on site for a not-to-be-missed family friendly experience! NW Michigan’s HOTTEST Rock ‘n Rides Car Show every Wednesday from 6-8pm June 6th – September 12. Live music on the outdoor deck. $10 Super Olive Burger Platter with fries and slaw plus FREE gourmet ice cream for participants supplied by Milk and Honey Café. Crawford Commission on Aging Volunteers needed

Looking for a volunteer opportunity? The Crawford County Commission on Aging is looking for a Volunteer Stock person to help with putting away food deliveries. This person would need to be available Monday and Thursday starting around 10:30am for approximately 2 hours and be able to lift up to 45lbs. A criminal background check is required.
