TRAVERSE CITY, MI—A Career Exploration Camp will be one of the offerings available for local students at the TBAISD’s Cool Tech Camp June 19-21 in Traverse City. “See It To Be It! Creating Your Career Vision” will help students explore the possibilities of their future. The class will give students a chance to work on fun, real-world challenges, learn about the many different positions within a company, and meet professionals and hear their journey to finding a profession they love. Companies participating in the camp will include Cherry Capital Mobile Pet Hospital, NDX D.H. Baker Dental Lab, Hilbert's Honey Bees, Home Builders Association, North Flight EMS, and Merlo Energy.
See It to Be It! and the other Cool Tech Camp classes will be held June 19-21 from 8:30 am to 11:30 am at the TBAISD Career-Tech Center. Camps are open to all TBAISD students currently in 5th, 6th, and 7th grades. The cost of the camp is $40 and includes a t-shirt, supplies, snacks, and lunch on the last day.

The Charlevoix Commission on Aging and the Veteran’s Affairs office invite all Veterans to please join them every Tuesday for a Veteran’s Social beginning at 9am and FREE Lunch for Veteran’s beginning at 11:30a! Veterans can contact the Charlevoix County Transit for FREE rides to and from the Senior Centers hosting the weekly event by calling 231-582-6900!

Funeral Home Seminar on Tuesday, June 19th at 5:45 pm featuring Terrie Lockwood of the Sorenson-Lockwood Funeral Home, topics will be covered at the seminar.

Celebrate Recovery has begun at the Grayling Free Methodist Church on Tuesday nights at 6pm. Come and share your Hurts, Habits and Hangups with others who deal with the same problems. A snack is served before the meeting and then worship with songs, lessons and testimonies. Come and see if you would benefit from these wonderful get-togethers!!
Looking for a volunteer opportunity? The Crawford County Commission on Aging is looking for a Volunteer Stock person to help with putting away food deliveries. This person would need to be available Monday and Thursday starting around 10:30am for approximately 2 hours and be able to lift up to 45lbs. A criminal background check is required.
