Items to be collected
Items that will be collected include medications, needles, cell phones, shoes, eyeglasses, and hearing aids. Medications will be properly disposed of through an approved hazardous waste vendor and controlled substances will be handled by the public safety and the sheriff's department.

The Central Michigan District Health Department will be offereing walk-in Hep[atitis A vaccination clinics. Most
insurance plans cover immunizations, call your insurance company to make sure your vaccines will be
covered at the health department. If you want the Hepatitis A vaccine and do not have insurance, call for
costs or other billing options. Some may qualify for FREE vaccine.

April Community Meetings for Joint Land Use Study - Camp Grayling & Alpena CRTC
NEMCOG will host two community meetings in April for area residents with concerns about or interest in the various impacts that military training missions at Camp Grayling Joint Maneuver Training Center (JMTC) and Alpena Combat Readiness Training Center (CRTC) may have on surrounding local communities. These meetings are a follow up to the public meetings NEMCOG hosted in June and October as part of the ongoing Joint Land Use Study (JLUS) being funded by the Office of Economic Adjustment (US Department of Defense) and the State of Michigan. At these meetings, draft strategies will be available for review in an open house format and the public will be given the opportunity to select their top strategy choices.
The Alpena Community JLUS Meeting will take place on Thursday, April 19, 2018 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Alpena City Hall,208 N 1st Ave, Alpena, MI 49707.
