Pellston, MI October 9, 2017 Operation Injured Soldiers Announces Their 2017 Tree of Giving for Veteran’s Children Spreading Holiday Cheer for the Children of Our Heroes Pellston— October 9, 2017 — Today Brave Hearts Estate announced they will begin gathering names for their 2nd Annual Holiday Gift Giving for Children of Veterans. “This year we would like to continue the tradition and honor our heroes by sharing a small token of holiday cheer for our heroes’ children”, states Andy Bijansky, Chairman of Operation Injured Soldiers. We are hoping to spread some holiday cheer to the children of our heroes. Last year we received the names of some very deserving children and their families. If you or someone you know is a military veteran, deployed, or has lost an airman/marine/soldier in combat and you would like to nominate a child(ren) to be placed on our Tree of Giving this holiday season, please contact Brave Hearts Estate. Submission of the children’s names will be open October 9-31, 2017. Please be prepared to provide the name, age, gender, sizes, and gift ideas for the children you plan to register for the event. We will also need contact information to invite the children to participate in the holiday party and gift presentation, to be held on December 9th (location to be determined). There will be a $100 limit for gifts. Beginning November 1, 2017, we will be pairing names from the tree with those interested in purchasing gifts. If you would like to participate in purchasing gifts for a child, please contact the Operation Injured Soldiers offices either by phone or email, and we will help you select a child from the tree. You are also welcome to visit Brave Hearts Estate and choose a name personally. We cordially invite you to participate in our holiday party and gift giving event. Please consider participating in this event and honor our military heroes. Brave Hearts Estate can be contacted by telephone at (231)539-7111, email firstname.lastname@example.org, or 4171 Ely Road, Pellston, MI 49769. Office hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00am-5:00pm. Mission Operation Injured Soldiers currently serves a Michigan Veteran population of over 700 injured/combat veterans. Founded in 2005, Operation Injured Soldiers provides recreation opportunities to wounded military veterans of all eras as a “Thank You” for their service, and to aid in the recovery from physical and emotional injuries sustained during conflict deployments. We know that it is important to help our disabled heroes get back to doing sports and hobbies they enjoyed before being deployed. Our goal is to thank these heroes for their sacrifices with a well-deserved break, but we know that such “recreational therapy” produces significant health improvements: All of this is possible due to the generosity of individual donors, corporate sponsors, and a dedicated team of volunteers. With over 20 Thousand surviving veterans in the U.S. and more coming home every day, we sincerely need your help. OIS veterans have a disability rating of 30% or more or have experienced combat. In September of 2007, OIS became recognized as a 501© 3 status and maintains a gold star with Guide Star charities. The organization continues to grow and meet the goal of providing recreational and rehabilitative opportunities to our disabled veterans.
