Blarney Stone Broadcasting assumed ownership of the three stations based in Grayling, MI in October 2012 and within two years, have become a profitable, viable broadcasting leader in the region. In November 2016, Blarney Stone Broadcasting, Inc., entered into a Local Marketing Agreement (LMA) with Northern Broadcast, Inc., pending final FCC Sale of six FM stations including 92.5 WFDX (100,000 watts) / 94.3 WFCX (20,500 watts), Fox Music Radio; 97.5 WKLT (32,000 watts) / 98.9 WKLZ (100,000 watts), KLT The Rock Station; 105.5 WSRJ (17,000 watts) / 106.7 WSRT (100,000 watts), ESPN Northern Michigan. Blarney Stone Broadcasting is a community orientated media resource in Northern Michigan dedicated to providing local information, entertainment and promotions focused on the needs of the audience and the businesses that serve the audience. Our family owned business is expanding our staff in 2018 and seeks a Traffic Coordinator.
Blarney Stone Broadcasting, Inc., has an immediate opening in our Traffic Department in Traverse City, Michigan. This position manages the daily preparation and maintenance of on-air logs utilizing careful and thorough management of commercial inventory while maximizing revenue. In addition, this position includes additional administrative duties.
Daily use of software to enter and schedule inventory in order to maximize station revenue and data entry of daily sales orders
Posting of daily logs and preparation and maintenance of reports
Initiate innovative problem solving and decision-making tools to achieve station goals and work with sales management and account executives to efficiently accommodate advertisers and maintain revenue
Management of the continuity function
Answering phones, greeting people coming into the lobby and facilitating client payments and various general office administrative duties
Team-oriented and excel in a multi-tasking environment
Strong computer skills, superior organizational skills, excellent interpersonal skills and a demonstrated ability to work under pressure and deadlines with minimal supervision
Strong analytical skills, professional demeanor and business understanding required
Familiarity with broadcast inventory management software helpful, but not required
Any production or prior broadcasting experience is a plus
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma required
