  All Day Pumpkin Patch 2 Halloween Weekend  

Pumpkin Patch 2 Halloween Weekend (Yogi Bear’s Jellystone Park) October 5 - October 7th! Time for the bears to go into hibernation! Join us for one last weekend of activities and our Pumpkin Patch with decorated pumpkins to take home ($)! Don’t forget the candy for Trick-or-Treating (approx. 200 kids)! 370 W. Four Mile Road, Grayling.

 
  10:00AM 4:00PM 34th Annual Quilt Walk  

34th Annual Quilt Walk to benefit Hospice of Helping Hands October 4 - October 6th. Over 200 quilts will be on display throughout the town, participants start their “Walk” by picking up their “Passport Ticket Book”, for only a $5 donation, at 205 Craft Emporium, 205 Houghton Avenue, 4th Street Gallery on N. 4th Street, or Hospice of Helping Hands at 322 W. Houghton.  With their passport ticket book purchase, they can relax and meander around the various locations at their convenience each day or all three days.  The event runs from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. on Thursday and Friday, and from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. on Saturday. Quilt Raffle Tickets for “The Reel Deal”, a 65” x 75” quilt, are on sale now for a steal at only three for $5 at 205 Craft Emporium – 205 W. Houghton Avenue, and Hospice of Helping Hands (322 W. Houghton Avenue (9 a – 4 p Monday-Friday).  Raffle tickets will also be on sale at various locations around the area. The drawing will be held at 4 p.m. on Saturday, October 6, and supporters need not be present to win this beautiful quilt.  All proceeds will be donated to our local non-profit Hospice of Helping Hands, Inc. Buy Nearby Weekend, hosted by the Michigan Retailer's Association, is coming to Gaylord on Oct. 5-7, which means it’s time to shop at local stores! When it comes to retail, use it or lose it. Shopping locally is fun – and the right thing to do to keep the cool in our communities. Plus, you could win one of five $100 gift cards in their Buy Nearby Weekend contest! Here’s how to enter:

Uketoberfest 5 is Saturday at 10 AM – 1 PM at 4000 M 137, Interlochen, Michigan 49643.

This year's Uketoberfest at Interlochen promises to be the best yet! We have a wide range of workshops from Lil' Rev, Cynthia Kinnunen, Ben Hassenger, Pat Malloy, and Steve Szilagyi as well as an open mic and two-chord strum hosted by Punch Drunk. The day-long event will end with a performance headlined by Lil' Rev and also featuring The Ukulele Kings and Cynthia. After the official festivities are over, we'll all head to the Karlin Inn for pizza, beer, and strumming.
