  The Central Michigan District Health Department will be offering walk-in Hepatitis A vaccination clinics. Most

  insurance plans cover immunizations, call your insurance company to make sure your vaccines will be

  covered at the health department.  If you want the Hepatitis A vaccine and do not have insurance, call for

  costs or other billing options.  Some may qualify for FREE vaccine.

You’re cordially invited to the 8th Annual Art Attack show on Thursday, April 26, from 6:30 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at the Kingsley Branch of the Traverse Area District Library. Enjoy the talent and artistic skills demonstrated by students of the Kingsley Area Schools. Student ?art?work will be judged and prizes awarded in four categories plus best of show. ?This annual, family-friendly, community art exhibit is presented free of charge, by the Kingsley Friends of the Library. Refreshments will be served.

  7:00PM 8:30PM Eastland, the Great Lakes Worst Shipwreck Disaster  

In the summer of 1915, the passenger boat Eastland called St. Joseph, Michigan home. Owned by the St. Joseph-Chicago Steamship Company, Eastland transported passengers daily between the cities of St. Joseph and Chicago. On July 24, 1915, the Western Electric Company chartered the boat to transport 2,500 of their employees to a company picnic in Michigan City. Eastland capsized while still tied to the dock, killing 844 people. Dr. Caitlyn Perry Dial of the Michigan Women's Historical Center will discuss the boat's history, the events of that day, and how after a century the tragedy remains the Great Lakes' greatest disaster in terms of loss of life. **Some of the images shown during the presentation are graphic and show body recovery.** Free and open to the public! DOORS OPEN AT 6:30 pm!
